Under the guidance of Medical Director and board-certified dermatologist Dr. George Skandamis, Universal Dermatology & Vein Care is central Ohio’s premier center for laser skin treatment. Using a number of different types of lasers to provide the most custom treatments for patients, our team can treat a long list of medical conditions as well as elective cosmetic procedures.
Common laser treatments are laser stretch mark removal, birthmark removal and laser treatment for acne. The most frequently used laser is the Fractionated CO2 Laser for laser skin resurfacing. Skin resurfacing includes the reduction of any skin irregualrities such as wrinkles, blemishes or even acne scars. The process removes layers of skin revealing the smoother layers of skin below the surface.
IPL (intense pulse light) treatment is used to correct brown spots, freckles, and redness caused by sun damage on the skin. IPL treatment is non-invasive and can be tailored to the patient’s skin.
The Q-Switched Alexanderite and Nd-Yag are excellent for tattoo removal, both colored and black and white. The methods are used for their ability to remove tattoo pigment with minimal risk of scarring or changes in skin pigmentation.
