Dr. Kathleen Nemer is a board-certified dermatologist and board-certified Mohs micrographic surgeon. She received her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She completed her medical internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, after which she completed both her residency in Dermatology and her fellowship in Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine. During her fellowship, Dr.Nemer received specialized training in Mohs micrographic surgery, skin cancer surgery, post skin cancer reconstruction, laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology.
Prior to joining Universal Dermatology & Vein Care, Dr. Nemer practiced in the greater St. Louis area for over four years. Her practice locations included Washington University School of Medicine, the Department of Veteran Affairs, and Laser and Dermatologic Surgery Center. During this time, she honed her skills as a specialist in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of skin cancers, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma. She is passionate about dermatology and dedicated to helping her patients prevent and treat skin cancer.
Dr. Nemer is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Women’s Dermatologic Society, American Medical Association, and the Ohio State Medical Association. She has authored fifteen peer-reviewed scientific articles, one book chapter, and presented at numerous national dermatologic meetings.
Dr. Nemer enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, traveling, cooking, and fitness. She has completed many long-distance races and enjoys training with running groups.
