Chemical Peels

For optimum results with our chemical peels, it is imperative that the skin is prepped with the appropriate home care products. You and your aesthetician will work closely to achieve your ultimate skin care goals and she will advise you on the best regimen for your skin. After the chemical peel, your skin may or may not peel. Please keep in mind that peeling is a side effect of the peel and not indicative of the efficacy of the peel.  It is important to protect the skin daily with SPF 30 or higher!

Replenix MD The Perfect 10 Peel: These medical grade, in-office aesthetic treatments are formulated to deliver the desired results for the motivated patient who wants a peel. The hallmark of the Replenix MD Perfect 10 Peel is that it provides a visibly apparent skin peeling. Within days the patient’s skin will be smoother and softer with a more even tone. The Perfect 10 Peels contain a synergistic blend of ingredients that visibly reduce the signs of aging. The Perfect 10 Peel comes in 3 levels: Universal, Intermediate, and Advanced depending on the patient’s skin type.

Glycolic Acid Peel: This peel is clinically proven to reduce signs of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and texture.  Depending on the percentage of glycolic acid you may or may not have visible peeling. To achieve optimal results this peel is best done in a series, 2-4 weeks apart. Each appointment will last 30-45 minutes.

Salicylic Acid Peel: Prescription strength salicylic acid peels are used to treat acne, enlarged pores, and oily skin on the face and body for a smoother, clearer complexion. This peel may or may not be done with extractions depending on the type of acne that is present. Salicylic acid peels are a great addition to any prescription regimen and should be done in a series.

Eyes & Lip Peel: Target fine lines, pigmentation and sun damage with the Eye & Lip peel. A unique combination of Trichloroacetic & Lactic acid allows this peel to be gentle enough to be used on and around the eyes, yet aggressive enough to see marked differences. Depending on the patients’ skin and desired results, four to six treatments may be necessary. Allow 14 days between treatments.

Hand Peel: Hands are the first place to show age! Improve sun damage, pigmentation, and wrinkles with the hand peel.  Light flaking is to be expected within 4-6 days and will last approximately 3 days. Pigmentation may appear darker after the peel which is completely normal. Darker areas will flake off and lighten over the next 2 weeks.   For best results, patients should plan for one peel a month for 3 consecutive months.

Neck, Back, & Chest Peels: Let’s face it, we all are guilty of forgetting about these areas! Reverse the aging signs with a few quick peels. Neck peels improve the appearance of aging skin on the neck and decollete by decreasing mild hyperpigmentation, improving uneven skin tone, diminishing lines and wrinkles. Patients may or may not notice peeling with this peel. Allow 30-45 minutes for the peel appointment.

Reduce symptoms of oily, blemish prone skin on the chest and back with this exfoliating body peel.  A special combination of ingredients, including Salicylic acid, allow the peel to penetrate the tough skin on the back without causing irritation. Results can be seen in as little as one treatment. Allow 45 minutes for the peel appointment.

A quick and safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of peach fuzz. This gives your skin care products the ability to penetrate more effectively, resulting in smooth, glowing skin.

Automated Micro-Needling (also known as Percutaneous Collagen Induction Therapy or PCIT) is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine for the treatment of fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture, pore size, acne scars and improvement of the skin’s appearance. After your skin is numbed with a topical cream, your provider will begin treatment. Tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. The skin’s repair process results in a thicker dermis with the appearance of softer wrinkles. Automated micro-needling also creates superficial microchannels, which allow topical serums and creams to be absorbed more effectively into the skin for better results.

Patients typically need 3-6 treatments for best results. This treatment is pain-free and requires little down time. Consults in our Lewis Center office with our Aesthetician are complimentary and recommended to discuss your specific skin care goals with Micro-Needling.

This revolutionary system, available only to licensed medical practitioners, combines precision brush tip exfoliation, topical solutions and variable vacuum pressure for the most precise, efficacious and comfortable skin treatments available. Dermasweep features a closed system with a variable level vacuum pump that gently lifts the skin as our bristles “sweep away” the dead layer of skin in a precise and controlled manner.

Our patent pending bristle tips fully eliminate the mess and hazards associated with traditional crystal systems. Further, these polyester or nylon bristles prevent the buildup of keratin on the wand which has been a problem with other particle-free systems. DermaSweep enables air flow through the bristles to allow the skin to be gently drawn into the bristle for a more effective and less irritating exfoliation.

Our innovative, efficient use of vacuum pressure and bristles are then customized for each treatment depending on skin type, the desired level of exfoliation and results. DermaSweep results in a clean, consistently effective treatment. Patients see a noticeable skin improvement with fewer treatments and improved results even with the first treatment.
